Even though she grit her teeth, the feel of the proboscis being pulled out of her body pulled a whimper out of her. The hand on her shoulder gave her something to focus on, or would have if she didn't feel the energy flowing into her body from where he touched her. She could feel her skin knit back together, but more than that she could...she could feel him.
Her hand was still on bracing herself on the ground as she watched him closely. But she didn't just see him. She could feel his emotions and a vision passed through them. At least, it felt like a vision, but she knew it was something else. It was a memory of him holding her in his arms, hand placed over her as he did this same thing. She didn't recognize the place, just that it was dark.
She could feel the relief wash through him as looked down at her face, but then his hand dropped away and the connection dropped with it.
Rey looked down at where the wound had been, now sealed, in awe. There was minimal dull pain, but nothing that would stop her from leaning forward and wrapping her arms around him. She clung to him tightly. You saved me again.
