Mal was relieved Cassie was okay and still here. There was a point when she'd been flying earlier that she didn't think she would find Cassie. Whatever this place was, it was huge and Mal already knew people had been sent away in bursts the last few days. If she lost Cassie, Mal didn't know how well she would be able to handle this place. She hadn't grown as close to anyone else as she had the young woman.
"Always feel free to mention it again because right now, it sucks. A lot," Mal replied with a small smile.
"But I'm glad you are okay. We should probably see if we can find some place to take shelter though. That fly probably has friends." Mal moved to put her arm protectively around Cassie's shoulder.
"However, did you find anything good before we get the fuck out of here?
