Some crappy, run-down town with giant bugs was not Mal's idea of a vacation, but since when the hotel ever give them a chance to pick where they ended up? She figured something bad was overdue considering the gifts and mall adventure they had last month. Still, did it have to be bugs? Just yuck.
Mal's first objective was finding Cassie; while Mal knew Cassie was a tough girl, she didn't think she could hold her own very well against these giant bugs. No, she would be bug food for sure and Mal wasn't about to lose another friend. This place had already taken Evie from her.
Mal shifted into her dragon form in order to cover more ground in her search for Cassie. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait long until she spotted a giant fly about to gobble up a familiar blond.
Fear radiated through Mal and she dived quickly. Claws out she planted them firmly into the fly's body; the thing gave out a cry before crumpling to the ground with a loud thud. Mal leapt upon it, finishing it off with a burst of flame. She awkwardly pulled herself off the bug and landed in front of Cassie, purple smoke surrounding her as she shifted forms.
"Are you alright?" Mal rushed over to Cassie, putting her hands on the young woman's shoulders, eyes skimming her for any sign of injury.
