The sun had set. Louis groaned softly, slowly waking from the death-sleep. He sat up on the floor of an abandoned building, feeling the cold floor beneath his fingertips rather than the bed he had just gotten used to.
His green eyes scanned his surroundings, brows knit as he stood and walked through out the building. His footsteps echoed and the only sounds he heard were the leaves and rubble that were kicked aside from his feet.
"What in God's name..."
Louis then hurried out the door of the building, circling the place as he looked for the hotel. Nowhere in sight. Startled, he went back inside the building. He missed the comfort of his library.
A few days had passed since the hotel had disappeared. Louis was informed that they were relocated once again. Nearby were massive bugs that could kill. At first, he instinctively worried for Lestat. Anyone would be worried about their loved one. But Louis then remembered all that Lestat had endured and how much his strength had grown because of each event that brought him to become the vampire he was today. Lestat could try to get the last laugh in the face of God and live to tell the tale.
Lestat was the strongest being he knew, and the fledgling Louis began to worry about weighing his love down.
He thought of Lissa, as well. Hoping that his new friend was doing well and that she had found safety.
Thinking of how Louis could defend himself and others from the bugs, he would leave the building at sundown to gather materials to make a large bonfire. He also hoped to find the right materials to make a scythe. There was no time to think of hunting for blood. He needed to try and make due with the materials he collected, sitting outside of the building to try and start a fire.
