Daphne had been gifted months of coming to terms with the idea of different realities outside of the realm of fiction. The fact that she could actually have access to magic was much more. She'd be more than happy to have that conversation, though she had noticed the initial hesitation in his voice. The truth was, she'd met people who could do incredible things, and she'd already felt like quite a liability around people who were more experienced than her. She'd believed she could only fix that through experience. Magic wasn't seen as a cheat but a boon. The only problem was that she'd most likely forget everything she'd learned once she got back home.
It was strange how she could hear the smile, but she'd been used to his voice before he'd decided to forego the mask. It was a nice thing to pick-up despite the vocoder distorted the sound. "You're very welcome," she said smiling back at him.
What he said next caused her brows to shoot up. "You can fly?" She leaned back to look at him a little better. He didn't look like he had jet boots or anything, but she hadn't seen the pack on his back. And he was asking if she wanted a ride. "You can carry me and all the supplies?" She didn't think she was super heavy, but also, it was just a lot.
