"Not what I pictured as our first date, but I guess it'll do," Daphne teased as she shouldered him. "Yeah, anything I can do to help," she said more seriously. "There's more food inside we can go get if you're up for it."
The axe was swung up to rest on her shoulder. "I haven't, no. Not yet. I was put here next to the house and well," she gestured to herself. She would have changed into some jeans, but none of them fit and she wasn't going to run around with overly baggy pants to snag on things, held up by a belt with made holes and a prayer.
