He did manage to let out the smallest of snickers. He didn't particularly want to test that theory, whether or not Daphne would be able to kill him. But a part of him kind of wanted to watch her try because of how impressed he was over her defense skills. He was also smart enough to keep to himself that she looked pretty attractive in attack mode. A conversation for later, because this truly was a very serious situation.
"I'm sorry, Daphne. I didn't mean to scare you. I forgot you hadn't seen the suit before." As she reached out, Din would lean in closer, letting her examine the plates. "It just appeared the other day. I would have shown you earlier but it was.." Smelly enough to make her nauseous? So crunchy with dried sweat, one would believe the whole thing was made of beskar? "..it was being sanitized."
Yeah, he was really grateful that Pepper had helped him out as quick as she had. Otherwise, Daphne might be holding her nose right now. "Don't worry, Grogu is safe. He's with Luke." Any other time - literally any other time - Din would be flipping out right now over being away from the kid. But he knew that Grogu was just as safe with his teacher as he was with his dad. Luke could definitely handle a few overgrown insects.
"Where were you headed?" Din tilted his head to the side, eyeing the backpack that Daphne was toting. "Do you want me to carry that for you?" Not that he thought she couldn't handle the bag herself. But if they happened to be ambushed by any eight-legged critters, it would be easier for her to use that axe without it weighing her down.
