It's an interesting response Trevor gives, adding 'I can't be sure yet' to the polite greeting Kurama just gave. It could hold mang very valid reasons, or be nothing at all, but as Trevor is obviously reading him the same way the fox just read Trevor, it's quite possible that what Kurama has shown himself capable of has made the man unsure, and he would not blame him if this were the case.
