Hux had been in the middle of ironing his shirts when it happened. It could have been worse. He could have been shaving. Or showering. That one guy who looked like Poe had been in that exact unfortunate position the last time the hotel had decided to evict them. Initially, Hux was just sort of annoyed. One moment, he had been nice and relaxed in his room, pressing creases out of his button-ups, which was so very satisfying. Now, he was.. outside. The hotel was still in view, but a good quarter mile in the distance. And if those vague human-shaped forms on the lawn were any indication, he wasn't the only target of this ghost prank. Great. Hopefully BB-9E didn't bump the ironing board before he could make it back to his room. Then the hotel would really be sore that it was playing games. Hux had barely made it ten irritable steps before something caught his peripheral vision. He paused and turned his head, frowning at the sight of.. a.. Was that an Acklay running towards him? He wasn't sure if it was, but it looked like one. And it was not pleased to see him. Instinctively, Hux ran. Unfortunately, the direction the Acklay-like creature was coming from had him fleeing away from his home. Despite being absolutely horrified, Hux was fast to notice that the hotel grounds had once again changed. He was tearing past unfamiliar territory, so on top of being freaked out and scared for his life, he was also lost. And maybe more out of shape than he previously realized. Perhaps those workout sessions with Phasma wouldn't be a bad idea. That is, if he survived this. Hux was nearing what looked like an old fuel station when he tripped, sending that lanky body tumbling to the concrete. The overgrown insect had already been well on it's way to catching up before he fell. It would only be a matter of seconds before the damn thing was looming over him. Hux flinched, oddly annoyed with himself for not being able to escape the Acklay. And equally annoyed that if he was going to die a second time, it was going to be for an empty, pointless reason. No spy heroics, no getting snippy with Pryde. Just a stupid bug in a foul mood. |
