Audrey/Joey
In a dutiful attempt to keep that matching pajama theme going as long as possible, Joey had worn something that was almost the reverse of Audrey’s set complete with matching white slippers.
Even though he had started drinking at about the same time he’d started baking (the cake,) he was honestly pretty proud of how it had all turned out. Everyone had been so eager to chip in and pull it all together to give Audrey her special day, and that was a nice sign of what sort of community had been built out of all the different personalities in the hotel.
The hardest part of the night so far had really been slipping her gift in among the other stuffed animals and waiting for her to find it naturally. He hadn’t wrapped it so it was just burrowed down between the build-a-bear animals with a necklace looped around its neck and a ribbon holding the ‘to/from’ tag on it. Now it was all a waiting game.
