If he had taken a drink as a human, he was not likely to admit it to someone he had just met. His human persona was a very good kid, and he stuck to it when possible: that two of his best friends spent most of their youth picking fights had tended to be written off as minor rebellion, or more likely, him being a kind boy and a good influence.
