"He should be proud of that. It's always great to overcome the low expectations others place on you." Bev says and means it. She'd done the same in a way; she'd worked to earn her success in fashion. She had forgotten her father and the bullies back home at the time, but maybe on a deeper level, she had still been driven to show them all that she was a capable woman.
"That's good. I was lucky enough to bump into one of my friends when I arrived. He helped me through the shock." Bev knows she was still lucky to have her friends there, even though they were missing Ben and Mike. "That was about four months ago." It hasn't seemed as long. This place keeps her busy.
