Ben would do his best to not overwhelm the other man. He knew how much focus and concentration that managing the Force could take. For someone who was just learning how to wield that energy, too much too quickly could do more harm than good. He’d seen it in other students that his uncle had taken in. But somehow, Luke always managed to get through to even the most stubborn and down-trodden hearts. Ben wouldn’t be presumptuous and claim the title of teacher or master but .... he could at least help with the small things.
“This weekend then. I’ll set aside time. Early, I hope, works for you.” Ben wouldn’t say how early exactly but he hoped Richie would know that he meant before noon at the very least. He had never been one to sleep in. Not since he had been small enough to still fit in his father’s lap.
The book idea was a new one so Ben was still putting the pieces together. It wouldn’t be right away but from what he saw of the cards, Richie had a bit of talent there as well. Why not take advantage? “I’ll do my best to not laugh at any stick figures you give me.” He grinned, even chuckled.
