It was all very strange. Sometimes, Bucky didn’t mind strange as long as it was the good kind. And what was there not to like about this place? Everything was provided for them. As of yet, there was no reason to be suspicious. Bucky would keep his eyes and ears open, ready to pick up on anything out of the ordinary but until that time came, he was hoping to maybe enjoy himself a little.
“You keep tabs on everything here. That must be a full-time job. Maybe you could use a little help? My friend Steve and I could lend a hand, if you need it.” He was sure Steve wouldn’t mind being volunteered. This sounded like something he’d offer anyhow.
Like everyone he’d asked before, Natasha’s answers were vague. But Bucky supposed he ought to have been more specific. And honestly, it was a little arrogant to think that anyone might remember Captain America’s sidekick. Maybe he ought to have brought up Mister Starry Britches instead and seen what she knew. But he was grateful that at least she was willing to give him more information than Stark. Err, Tony.
He shrugged. “Not really sure what I want to know. A little bit of everything count?” But he laughed and shook his head. “That’s a tall order for one person to deliver. How about this.... if I have questions, I come to you.”
