Han had really only talked to two people about it. He could have easily made the rounds and talked to everyone, but it wasn't necessary. He'd stumbled into the conversation with Poe, then wanted to hear the other side of it from Rey. He didn't imagine he had anything close to the entire picture, but there were always different angles on the truth depending on where you were standing in relation to it. Even if he had spoken to everyone, he wouldn't have gotten the whole picture until he spoke to Ben himself. And there were absolutely things that people were holding back on.
He was pretty sure he knew what that was already, but it was a different thing entirely hearing it straight from Ben.
Han just shrugged. It was a small, easy gesture, but it said a lot. "We've all got to die sometime," he said. "I'm sure you had a reason. And if you want to tell me what that reason was, I'm here and I'm listening. But it still doesn't change what's true." He wanted to know, too, what it was that he did in the future to lead them to this place. If there was a part of him now that would be aware of all this when he got back home, maybe he could make some different choices. Maybe this could be an opportunity, a gift, for them all to do better.
He took a swig of his drink and leaned both elbows down on the bar, holding the glass between his hands. "I'm not going anywhere," he said, "unless you want me to."
