Of course there was someone here. Ivy hadn't been in this hotel long, but she hadn't waited more than a half a day before she'd found the greenhouse. It wasn't a perfect place, but it had the signs of being well loved by those who didn't quite know what they were doing, at the time.
And so she loved it.
It was not difficult, not for her, to coax the plants into growing, into standing just a little bit taller and being a little bit greener. Healthier. In a place like this where everyone was trapped, it mattered to her that at least something could flourish.
"Yeah?" she asked, spotting out a man who looked -- well. Lost, maybe. Ivy had never really been one for worrying about making herself or her words seem more inviting.
