Bruce laughed at her suggestion. He could only imagine the comments that sort of thing would get him from his friends. When she came over and took his coffee out of his hand, he didn't object, and was more than happy to wrap his arms around her when she settled on his lap.
"I don't either," he said. "But it is my sworn duty as a doctor to do everything I can to make your headache go away."
Which meant that he kissed her again and then, suddenly, gathered her in his arms, stood up, and turned so he could lay her on the bed and crawl on top of her.
