"I don't know, Bruce. We could always put you in some board shorts and gel your hair. Figure out what the slang is these days. I think you could pass." She was teasing, her eyes sparkling playfully. Maybe the idea of having someone who she could lean against and someone who was, as Bruce put it, committed to her made her feel lighter than she had in a long time.
She put the plate to the side and turned so her feet her hanging off the side of the bed. Melissa looked at him. For a man who could turn into a green monster and saved a lot of lives, he seemed not to have a lot of confidence.
Standing up, she walked over to him. She relieved him of his coffee, putting it on the side table and then climbing into his lap. They might be old, but she could still managed to be a little bendy. Melissa leaned in to kiss him. It was a soft, slow kiss that was hurried, but meant for him to feel it. When she pulled back, she kept close, their noses lightly touching. "Definitely sound medical advice... and for the record, if we're doing this, then it's just you for me too. I don't like playing games."
