Daphne/Din
A holiday for lovers. Din hit another mental roadblock over that. The world this hotel resided in really had a thing for holidays that represented caring for one another, didn't it? Especially for a world that was equally keen on unleashing homicidal rabbit monsters..
Lovers, though. Is that what they were? Was Din jumping to conclusions? He'd never been so openly comfortable around someone like this before. Not even Xi'an. And she had been his lover.
Still, deep down, Din liked the idea of Valentine's Day. Though he didn't really see why there needed to be a special holiday for that sort of thing. He planned on having dinner with Daphne as often as he could before February rolled around. Maybe Miguel could explain it to him..
Throughout the evening, Din didn't really stray away from Daphne. If people came over to say hello, he would chat with them, but he wouldn't wander off on his own. It wasn't that he didn't wish to be social. He just felt like it was important to have this memory with Daphne. Closer to midnight, though, he'd notice people passing around champagne and, since underage drinking wasn't really against the law where he came from, he'd ask, "Do you want one?"
