Daphne/Din
Grogu was almost distracting with how adorable he was. He was definitely getting the hang of it faster than Din, but she was patient.
He was willing to work with her, which was really all she could ask for as she moved closer to the pair. He was starting to relax and she really wanted to be much closer than the child would allow, but that would most likely have to be for another night. She could be patient.
Feeling him finally fall into rhythm with her, she couldn't help but smile back. "When you're little, you watch the ball drop on Time Square from home on the TV with your family. When you get older, you can sneak out to a party. And when you're an official adult, you get to go to things like this. Each are fun in their own way. Kids usually have to be put to bed before nine, so staying up until midnight once a year was a real treat." It was simple, but she remembered loving every second of it.
"Other than Life Day, what other holidays did you have where you come from?"
