Rogue | OTA Rogue had decided that since it was a brand new year - and about to be the day she technically celebrated her birthday, since she'd chosen January 1st for herself a while back - it was time to put the past disappointments behind her and make the most of it. Sure, she still missed Remy - but she had his voice in her head telling her that she deserved to be happy and move on, and so that was what she intended to do. Part one of that was to arrive looking very stylish to the party. Aside from the white streak in her hair - with a few strands hanging to frame her face - and the satin gloves she wore to just above her elbows, she was at least a mutant who could pass for normal for a night even though she wouldn't be able to kiss anyone at midnight.
In fact, she was enjoying herself so much that when the time finally arrived, it took her by surprise. Rather than watch others engage in an act that she herself couldn't without hurting someone, Rogue drifted back down one of the paths to prepare to watch the fireworks when they hit the sky rather than any on the docks themselves between the various couples. After finishing off the glass of bourbon she held, Rogue let out a quiet sigh and shook her head before looking up in preparation.
"Some New Year's Eve this turned out to be," she muttered to herself. Her other hand held a bite-sized piece of pie, and she slipped that into her mouth to chew slowly.
