She chuckled softly, glad to see Mitch in good spirits. "I have now doubt that could change on a dime," Donny replied, "though I'd like to think you like torturing me too much to actually kill me." His offer of round two proved her statement entirely true! "I will respectfully decline, though I may put them to use at another time," she told him with a totally straight face and only the merest hint of a glint in her eye.
Donny nodded at the assessment, "the mall was fun. Though it wasn't trying to hurt anything more than our wallets," she said with a nod. When Mitch asked her the question her brow furrowed slightly. "I've spent my life living on adrenaline, so when it's this peaceful I find it uncomfortable. That doesn't mean I want life-threatening danger, though," she told him honestly. "It's an adjustment. One I'm adapting to." She understood that was a strange quirk, but it was part of what made her good at her job.
"Ah, well if you insist!" Donny snuggled in tighter, his cool skin warming to her touch. She glanced up and met Mitch's eyes and smiled, "as tough as you act, part of you is still mischievous and boyish," she answered. "If someone other than you made a headstand-snowman you'd feel the need to add something more outrageous, therefore I suspect you made the original," Donny answered. "Did you?" she asked, "and if not, why not?"
