She understood why Mitch hated the holiday season and in his shoes Donny would probably be feeling the same, but she'd done her best to help him through it. Even if that meant giving him space to be with his thoughts, as well as taking his mind away from Katrina and his parents where possible. They had come through it, that was the main thing and there was light at the end of the tunnel. Perhaps Mitch would even be able to look forward to the new year once the decorations had gone.
"If you threw the book at me it would probably kill me," Donny rebutted. "I'd be able to duck anyone else's aim," she told him with a grin. She gave it a slap against her forehead and feigned knocking herself out as he crossed the distance between them. Which was why he was able to get those snow-cold-hands onto her causing her to squeal and squirm her way out of his grasp. "That was uncalled for!" she told Mitch with a shake of her head as she pulled the covers around her and gave a shiver.
"So, what's it like out there? Other than cold, I mean?" she asked giving his near-blue lips a gentle kiss, just to warm him up a little. "Any magic happening today? Other than what we usually create," Donny said with a sly smirk of her own.
