"I'm happy for you two," he continued, pushing his own empty glass Miguel's way, silently requesting a refill. It was rare for Din to meddle in other people's romantic affairs, but he cared for both Ava and Miguel so much, it was difficult for him not to be invested.
At Miguel's question though, his own cheeks flushed a bit. Not that it could be seen in the dim light, under that scarf. But it could absolutely be heard in his voice. "Clicked with someone? I, ah.." There was no way Miguel would have known about Din's not-date with Daphne under the jellyfish-lit sky. Miguel was referring to his own connection with Ava, of course. But Din couldn't help but relate, just a tiny bit, with his own developing feelings for Daphne. "Yeah. I've felt that before." Din cleared his throat, hoping it wouldn't sound so damn obvious that he was beginning to care for someone in that manner as well. "How did you know that Ava felt the same way about you? Or did you just sort of.. know?"
