It was indeed bittersweet, the feeling around the hotel lately. The lobby was decorated so beautifully. And though Mando was not familiar with Christmas, he was familiar with Life Day, and the two seemed very similar in how they were celebrated. A holiday that was meant to be heart-warming and cheerful. However, with the recent vacancies in the hotel, all he'd seen on the Net were tragic posts about missing people. Din hadn't lost anyone personally, but Ronan and Rogue had. And that had managed to weigh upon Din greatly.
He could use something to help him relax. Tequila and good company were a good fix for that sort of thing. Mando would be wearing his scarf that evening; the poor, tired piece of fabric wrapped snugly about his face. However, much like Miguel, his need for secrecy was slipping. Especially around his friends.
After Ava had come to pick up Bobby, he'd head downstairs to the bar, eager to see what Miguel had picked out for him. Din had tried tequila during the Day of the Dead and discovered he very much enjoyed the taste. Needless to say, he was happy to try different kinds and maybe forget about the heartbreak on the Net for a while.
"It's good to see you, Miguel," he greeted, sitting at the counter near where the other man was setting up, "I hope you have something strong in store for us tonight. I think I need it."
