Castiel seemed to be out and about too much for him to worry about anything bad happening between them, so it was almost as if Lestat had the room to himself. He wanted to switch rooms to be with Louis, nonetheless. He wasn't sure if Louis would even turn up, so feeling the energy of his fledgling in the hotel was a welcome surprise.
He knew the likelihood of anybody letting him drink from them was slim, but he was relieved to know there was an alternative, however unpleasant it might be. Whatever the case, it still had to be better than trying to live off the blood of rats, as he'd done in more desperate circumstances.
The hotel itself was teeming with the spirits' energy. He'd spotted a few ghosts so far but they paid no mind to the vampire prowling the halls. He found the blood bags he desired in the kitchen. He didn't trust whatever a microwave would do to it - those were Armand's territory, anyway. He had a better (somewhat strange) idea. Concentrating on the bag, he warmed it in his hand using a very toned-down dose of his pyrokinesis. He'd almost considered using a saucepan with some water, but had to laugh at how ridiculous it'd look if anybody walked in on him.
Puncturing the warmed bag with his nail, he closed his mouth over the "wound" and drained the bag until nothing but a red film was left inside. The blood was human, but whatever memories he pulled from the blood were muted, almost insignificant. He couldn't remember anything of note. While he did feel quenched and refreshed, the taste and experience couldn't hold a candle to drinking from the source. Tossing the bag into the biohazard unit, he licked the last of the blood off his lips, running his tongue over his teeth to clear away the rest. He could hear somebody approaching the kitchen, and turned towards the door to greet them.
"Don't mind me, was just getting a quick drink," he said.
