Bev let Bill's hand on her arm anchor her to the present and keep the memory of the dream from overwhelming her. She looked into his eyes, able to find comfort simply by having him there to share her outrage. He'd always been the hero type, caring and determined to put things right. He'd inspired them all so much. Even now, while she was still sad, she could feel a growing sense that they'd stop Tom from hurting anyone else, if they ever had the chance. The dreams couldn't keep her feeling powerless.
"Thanks." She whispered and moved closed, leaning in to press a kiss to his cheek and gently pulling him into another hug, "Don't you ever change, Bill."
