Bev clung to Bill, savoring the comforting embrace for a moment. When enough of her anxiety had been soothed away, she pulled back from the hug and nodded.
"The dream was about a friend of mine, Kay." Bev said. "I saw in her, in her home. Tom was there. He was angry. Fuck, Bill, he was so angry." She'd been on the receiving end of his temper often, and still his red face and bulging eyes in the dream had shocked her. "He kept asking her about Mike, why he called me, why I'd left for Derry." She blinked a few times, forcing back tears. "She didn't know and when I tried to explain, he couldn't hear me." It had been like watching a terrible documentary and screaming at the screen.
