She looked almost stunned with how Stiles spoke of his home, given the side he showed to the people here Teresa was amazed he got it at all, let alone had been through it. "You are kinda nerdy," Teresa said with a teasing grin, "but I see that as a positive. I guess I'm the weirdo, huh?" Given how lost he'd seemed when she came out here she was finding Stiles gave scarily good advice. "Maybe I'll give it another shot," she said with a nod. As for the whole face-thing, she just gave a simple nod of understanding. So long as they both knew, all was well. "You were possessed? Ouch. That's gotta suck!" she said with a shake of her head. "Glad I got the non-scary version!"
Teresa looked confused, "and now you're laughing at me. Great." The whole 'normal' thing did seem to kinda dumb when you put it into that context. When Stiles started talking parents there was an edge to his tone that nudged her curiosity, but at the same time made her want to back away. Given that the whole tone of the conversation was about reaching out, though, she decided to ask. "What happened?"
She gave a smile of understanding when Stiles caught on to the patterns. "Do you have your meds here?" she asked, "sorry. I'm a scientist...a medical doctor. You mention a problem and I want to fix it," Teresa said with a sharp shake of her head, "and that's what got me here, so pretend I didn't ask? Pretend I just empathised and understood that it totally sucks when you can't switch your brain off?"
