Trevor had never been a fan of surprises regardless of the type. He preferred to go into situations knowing as much as he could about what dangers he might end up facing. That being said, he was doing his level best to remain as calm as possible under the circumstances. Arriving somewhere completely new and devoid of weapons rarely seemed like it was leading towards something pleasant, and as a cynic at heart it was difficult for Trevor to stop his thoughts from taking a fatalistic bent. Perhaps if he had been privy to some sort of explanation as to how and why he ended up in some strange hotel with foreign devices, he would be less likely to assume the worst.
He refused to believe that he was dead. Considering there was no free-flowing fountains of beer and he couldn't see either of the two people he genuinely cared for, there was no way this was the afterlife.
He had been informed that he had a room in this place. Much as he didn't intend to be here for long enough to make having a room worthwhile, mostly because he felt a nagging suspicion that without him around Alucard and Sypha would be acting as though they were better off and he wasn't a fan of how that made him feel. He would never admit that aloud, especially not where one of them might hear him, and he was already doing what he could to forget that the thought even crossed his mind. For the moment he was taking the time to study the lift he happened to be in. The multitude of buttons and smoothness of the ride it was taking him on was both confounding and mysterious. He truly had no idea where they might be that technology had gotten this seamless. He refused to believe that this was somehow related to Dracula, since he hadn't seen Alucard anywhere and it wasn't like him to resist a chance to gloat.
He'd been facing the wrong way when the elevator stopped meaning his back was to the open doors and that if one were so inclined to take advantage of that he was in a far more vulnerable position than he wanted to be in. As he turned to face the exit (and entrance), his muscles tensed on the off chance someone was waiting to attack, his scowl turned quickly to an almost amused snort as he spotted her.
