Having been watching Ava and naturally drawn to the movement of her drinking, the blurring fingers didn't escape Lila's notice. Now that was interesting and new. She sat up a bit even as said hands disappeared under the table, blocking her from seeing any more. Her eyes flicked to Ava's face once more as she tried to get a sense of the energy that produced such an effect. Maybe she could do it too, whatever it was. But try as she might, it wasn't quite the same as it was with the Hargreeves family.
Keeping the disappointment from her face, Lila picked up the mug and took a drink, then another despite the heat. It was a good distraction. "Bureaucracy is a bitch, innit?" The Commission wasn't exactly government stuff, but it ran itself like it.
