Ava wanted to point out that it'd still be called hot chocolate even when it cooled down to room temperature, but didn't feel like being all that pedantic. She grew up around scientists, spent most of her time with those sorts who focused a bit too much on minutia, and it was more habitual than anything she cared about. Being precise and accurate and exact. Instead she shrugged in agreement, fingertips tracing the curve of the handle, trying to study the woman across from her without making it too obvious she was sizing her up.
"Oh," she smiled as she was drawn out of that line of thought, wouldn't have really noticed if Lila had skipped thanking her, but appreciated it now that she had. Manners weren't really her go to. "It's fine," she brushed off, "Just seemed like you needed... something." And while Ava didn't need company, she didn't mind it.
She considered the question, not sure how far into it she wanted to go. Or that Lila would want to hear. Quiet for a bit longer than was probably comfortable as she tried to think of an easy way to summarize her situation without coming off like she required sympathy for it. "Strict training," she settled with. "No time for it or much else."
