"Thankfully, no." It couldn't be seen because of his helmet, but it could be heard in his voice that Din was smiling. Thank the stars for that. Because if Bobby was indeed heavier than he looked, Mando knew for sure he'd have a bad back by now from carrying the kid around. He carefully handed Bobby over, letting Ava take him.
With that, Din turned, leading them into the park. With a lengthy conversation ahead of them, he figured a change of scenery might be enjoyable. "He can be trouble, yeah. But the reason behind it is also.. complicated." Where to start? The child hadn't even been in his care all that long. They had gained quite the history in such a short amount of time.
"Bobby was a bounty of mine. That's how I found him. Where I come from, you don't always know what your bounty looks like. Or, in this case, I didn't even know he was a child. You can imagine my surprise when my bounty tracker went off in front of a crib. When I went to hand Bobby over to the ones who wanted him, I discovered they were going to run experiments on him. Possibly kill him. And I just.. couldn't let that happen."
Though the child more than likely did not realize they were talking about him, he oddly reacted as if he did. He cooed in Ava's arms, as if Din's words had elicited an emotional response. Din continued. "The reason I'm telling you all of this is because of his.. powers. Presumably, the people who wanted to run tests on him knew about his abilities. Bobby can move things with his mind."
