Watch out, everyone was saying, and Stanley got that. That Beverly had some kind of Deadlights premonition and that everyone else was on their guard, and he was sort of too, as much as one could be in a place that was thought out just as well as any theme park or zoo. But Stanley was, admittedly, also kind of enjoying himself. With the credit card he’d been given, Stanley had splurged somewhat: he’d rented a room at the Park so he (well, they) could actually partake in the sorts of things hotels were supposed to have: room service, extra towels with only a phone call, and anonymous neighbors. But in a place with dinosaurs, you couldn’t exactly just stay inside. So looking around it was. The aviary was, of course, one of the stops that Stan absolutely had to go on. This was a whole different kind of bird watching. “So you’d just never heard of dinosaurs at all before this?” He asked Killian who was being something of a sport over Stan’s nerdiness, because most people probably would have demanded to see the big things first, t-rex and whatever else was in the park. |
