"Bet you were a beautiful debutant though," Malcolm can't help but say. "You're right though. I'm not really a fan of big fancy parties." Due to his family's fall from grace in society after his father went to prison, his mother hasn't hosted many big parties, but she still tries to drag Malcolm along as her plus one whenever she can.
