She's really sweet. He must have really helped her when they were kids, even more than he realized. From what he could remember, they just built a fort and he made sure she didn't do anything dangerous. Obviously, it meant a lot to her.
Malcolm finishes his smore and sighs. Her sweet crush might be about to fade away.
"I think I talked about my father a little bit when we were kids," he says. "I didn't say that he'd been arrested for murder. Not just one murder either. My father is a serial killer who killed twenty-three people. He was a doctor, so the press nicknamed him The Surgeon."
