"Usually people have things that they need show up," Donny pointed out, "like when my clothes showed up. Or they have sentimental items arrive, to remind them of home," though she'd not had anything like that come her way so far. "This bag is definitely not sentimental, therefore I need it, which means there is something I require the ability to protect myself from," and the arrival of the maze was too much of a coincidence.
"Good, because I fear you might need it," Donny said flashing Mitch a frown. "I want to be wrong about this," she told him darkly, "but there's only one way we're going to know for sure." She pulled her backpack into place and flashed him a small smile. "If it's just a normal maze, then I'm sure we'll find some way to enjoy ourselves," otherwise they'd do their job and protect the hotel.
