Bev and Open to multiples
Bev knew she had been given a bit of luck when it came to the costumes; she'd been pleasantly surprised by what the hotel had chosen for her. She had opened a few buttons on the shirt of her tux and let the bow tie hang loose around her neck before she walked into the ballroom. Simply giving it a touch of her own style, more open and less stuffy. A gun-shaped purse had come with her costume and it dangled from her wrist; that was less her style, but it was all in good fun. She'd been spared any nightmares about the costumes or the party, and had taken that as a sign that she was meant to enjoy the night.
The other prop to come with Bev's costume was a martini glass, which was currently filled with a so-called spooky screwdriver - black vodka and orange juice. That was more to her taste than a berry scary martini or a pumpkin spice flavored one. She took an occasional small sip of her screwdriver and glanced around at the party. It would be great to meet someone new and have the chance to introduce herself as Marsh. Bev Marsh. Of course, running into someone she knew would be fun too.
