"Yep," she confirmed. "Take a right outside the hotel. Walk for about fifteen minutes. Can't miss it." To her it looked like a field of poppies. Candy wasn't her thing, but exploring was. She thought for a wild moment that she should rent herself out as a guide.
"Alright," she said as she started forward. "I kind of blazed a trail when I was here last so I'll lead."
She pressed forward to where she'd found the best spot to work through the prickly and sticky vines. If there was a path, it seemed grown over, but once she started it became clear that she'd been here before. So it didn't take too much scrabbling and grabbing at sticky vines for support to reach the top of the hill and the gumdrop tree.
"There you do," she said as she gestured to the tree. "Watch your step. Some of the gumdrops got overripe and fell to the ground."
