"Oh, no, that's... You don't need to apologize for that, that's completely understandable. I'm sorry for your loss, that's got to be hard to deal with in a place like this," Dan said, having stayed quiet the whole time that Dr. Lecter was speaking.
The relief at hearing that the man could see the ghosts, though, was a massive weight off his shoulders. He even managed a smile and felt like he could start to relax a little.
"The AA was what I'd like to talk to you about later, if that's okay. I was thinking about trying to set up a similar sort of thing here, because I really do feel... lost, I suppose, without it. And I can't be the only one who would need the help. But I've never done anything like that before, I've only ever attended the meetings. So I was wondering if you'd have advice."
