Bill's head snapped up at the sound of Bev's voice (and felt a bit like it kept going but it didn't, not really... did it? no. no) and he smiled in relief. "Bev! Bev, thank G-god. I, I, I c-c-couldn't remember, I don't nuh-know the p-p-p-paths. Do yuh-you? I thought, I, I thought I did, b-but I don't. And then it s-s-started getting d-dark and I shuh-should have called someone but I, I think my phone is b-b-back in the hotel?"
Part of him wondered why he was talking so much. He didn't do that, especially not with his stutter like it was. Another part of him didn't really care all that much, and wanted to go back and show Bev some of the weird candy he'd found. And all of him was hungry. "I'm hungry."
