Daphne was still getting used to the place and had been heavily distracted from hanging out with her roommate, so there was a bit of surprise on her face at hearing the cookies and tea were for her. She swallowed hard, and brought a hand to her mouth as she attempted to pull some words together. The blonde was a complete mess and here Rose was, trying to be there for her. "Thank you," she managed steadily. "You didn't have to do this."
While she was aware of that, she felt that the gesture needed to be acknowledged as thoughtful. There was a genuine curiosity as to the type of cookies, because cookies were great. But also wondered what kind of tea she'd brought. Instead of going back to her bed, she veered to sit down in a chair, though it was more of a plop as she was lacking energy. Not eating for a day did that.
