Daphne did not want to get out of bed. If she could just turn into nothing or just become numb, that would've been perfect. Unfortunately, life didn't work that way. Her chest felt like a sunken hole and she couldn't stop being sad. She'd been sad before, but this was different. It hurt. Then there was the feeling of being stupid over having such a strong reaction over someone she'd only known for a short time.
Hearing Rose's voice float through the door, she was tempted to ignore it, but she was awake and didn't want to be rude. It took her a minute, wiping a hand over her face as she pushed herself out of bed weakly. Considering she hadn't moved for a good while it felt weird. If she'd gotten up quickly, she'd probably fall over. Groggily, she made her way over to the door and pulled it open to let her roommate in. She was really sorry that she was like this and the other girl had to deal with it, but she'd mostly been hoping she'd be too busy.
"Sorry I took so long," she apologized heading back toward her bed, even as the sight of the cookies and the smell of tea made her stomach growl. It was the first thing she'd said in a day. Her hand came over her stomach as it clenched uncomfortably with hunger. If she just laid down under the covers, she could ignore that right?
