Silent except for the footfalls, Daenerys walked up behind Eric placing her hand on his hips. "Good morning, handsome," her voice light and happy. She watched him put the coin around his neck. She'd seen it before. It was obviously very dear to him. Moving over to the wall leaning against it. She smiled that lovely smile of happiness.
He finished shaving, then wiped his face off with a towel. Dany took the towel from him, throwing it into the basket. "How did you sleep?" she asked genuinely concerned about him. She watched him finish his routine, as she put toothpaste on her toothbrush, opening her teeth to brush them. This was a new routine for her. She'd been careful with her daily hygiene, not something many people from Westeros.
Erik left the bathroom, as she rinsed her mouth out, spitting the water into the bowl. When she walked out, he was sitting on his bed, watching the dragon eggs. Her eyes sparkling, they seemed as important to him as they were to her. "When they hatch, they will look to you as their father," she said without reservation.
Instead of sitting in his lap, she sat beside him on the bed. The image of the coin was evident under his shirt. Dany took her hand, putting it over it. Palm enveloped it for a moment, then let it go.
"I've seen that before," she said referring to the item around his neck. Her curiosity piqued, she asked about it. "What is it that you wear around your neck and are so careful with? "It must be of great value, if to no one else but to you. Do you mind if I see it?" Eric was a private man. It wasn't as if he hid things from her, he did have secrets one-by-one he'd begun to trust her. She loved him, wanted to know everything about him. She knew he liked her since he would smile at her, something that was unusual for him. Daenerys was patient. In regards to the coin, she wanted to know and know now. If only he would cooperate.
She half expected him to tell her off. With Eric her boundaries had become blurred.
