It was an absolute godsend that this hotel had a Library, so Aziraphale thought as he eagerly browsed the shelves. It wasn't quite the same as being in the comfort and familiarity of his own bookshop, but it was probably the closest he'd be able to get, under the current circumstances.
Meticulously and slowly moving from shelf to shelf, he scanned the titles and eagerly pulled out any book that sounded remotely interesting. He didn't realize that before too long, his arm was cradling a full stack, and he was still looking for more. That is, until the sound of the door opening caught his attention.
Glancing over his shoulder, he saw the woman and immediately noticed her eyes, then automatically frowned. Gabriel's eyes were the exact same hue, and he didn't have many fond memories of his former boss. He needed to remind himself that it wasn't this lady's fault, and she was probably a very sweet person. His face softened into a friendly smile that radiated angelic kindness.
"Oh. Hello, my dear. Never mind me. I only just arrived a few short hours ago." His smile turned into a grin. "All things considered, this hotel library has a remarkable selection!"
