While Natasha had unofficially stepped away from SHIELD after typing in the commands that spilled most of its secrets onto the internet for all the world to see, she had still kept ties, and followed what she could, and she'd known that Coulson was still alive. It wasn't something she talked about often, except with Clint on occasion, but she'd watched as he'd attempted to build it back up into something to be proud of, and she knew that he was partially responsible for Fury getting the helicarrier to Sokovia in time for them to save what they could of its people when Ultron had lifted it into the air.
Still, she hadn't been able to see the man herself for a long time, particularly not since the Snap, and those missed years weighed heavily in her thoughts at the moment as she headed for the lobby. She walked in from outside instead of from elsewhere in the building, and paused only a moment when she saw him, before offering a smile.
Crossing the room, she shook her head as she reached him. "You're a sight for sore eyes, Coulson," she said softly, before stepping forward to hug him tightly.
