He was smiling at her, which didn't seem to help. She felt ridiculous with how warm her cheeks were. A moment later, she was suddenly busying herself with finding another pot and filling it in the sink with water. Oh, she was stupid. She was so stupid. "So you're into guys?" she tried to ask casually. She pulled a lock of hair behind her ear, adjusted the faucet, anything to keep her hands busy while the pot took absolutely forever to fill up.
The salt was already on the counter along with the box of noodles.
