"I could never do cheese on ramen, I don't know why. I've got this mental block about putting cheese on anything remotely Asian," he said, shaking his head. Weird little food hang up for someone who chatted about cannibalism.
"Close enough," he agreed, moving toward the stove with his cutting board full of chopped vegetables, waiting for the oil to heat up.
"I cut off part of a finger in wood shop. I wasn't really good with hand-eye coordination. I think it hurt a little at first but it doesn't anymore," he told her. "Kind of itches if I don't do it. Like wearing the same clothes for too long and you just want to change?" he tried explaining to her. The tattoo question made him grin. It was a really good one.
"It would grow back without the tattoo," he confirmed. "So I guess they wouldn't be really that permanent with me, if I got one."
