Bonnie's brow furrowed with emotion as she heard Elena speak and she knew the bond created between them, first from years of friendship and then by their life forces being merged, was going nowhere. "I'm always with you too," she answered with a small smile. "And I wasn't brave," she said with a shake of her head, "I was just there when I was needed. You'd have done the same," and she knew that was the truth.
She held hand and Bonnie smiled, "I love you too. And we'll figure all this out together," and get Elena home where she belonged.
"You'll see him, one way or another," she assured her friend. "If I can get Enzo back, you can get Damon back," Bonnie told her sternly. "You guys are meant to be, remember?" she said giving Elena's hand a tender squeeze.
Bonnie was already considering the hotel her home and didn't need much convincing on the subject of Mystic Falls, but she didn't respond beyond a nod. She wanted Elena to have hope, that there was a future waiting for her on the other side of whatever adventure this was.
"Let's be clear, you made a bitching vampire," Bonnie told her with a chuckle, "but I'm glad you're in the body you want again. There are some things to be grateful for here."
