Jinn was extremely perceptive, and Hannibal would be pleased if he knew how the man, so to speak, noticed about him, particularly with regard to his clothing.
Hannibal smiled at the question as he took a pan of melted butter from the stove and began brushing the interior surfaces of two earthenware casserole dishes.
"I have not had the pleasure, no. Before arriving here I thought the jinn were merely the product of the rich folklore of Arabia. But in the past couple weeks I have been made aware of the reality of many things I have previously believed to be fiction."
He looked up again as he put the pastry brush down. "As for being at ease, you may well discover that it is a rare moment in which I am not at ease."
He began laying the potato slices into the buttered dishes.
